Energy Commitment
The American Energy Alliance (AEA) recognizes that affordable, reliable energy is the lifeblood of the economy. Energy makes our lives better in many ways. For example, efficient, affordable transportation allows us to spend less time traveling, saving us time—the ultimate non-renewable resource. Affordable energy lets us do more with our lives and keeps American economically competitive with the rest of the world.
The AEA favors all sources of energy, whether it comes from coal, oil, wind, geothermal, solar, nuclear, biomass, natural gas, even the energy sources that haven’t been discovered yet. We know that America will need all of its resources to move forward and solve the energy and environmental challenges that lie ahead.
We believe that allowing American creativity, ingenuity, and technology to flourish is the best way to tackle our energy challenges. We believe that giving people the information they need to make good decisions will make the Nation stronger and better. We believe that not all the answers are found in Washington. That is why we started Energy Town Hall; we hope that you will use this site as a forum and a home for these important discussions.
We want to enlist and empower energy consumers to join together to urge policymakers to support policies that lead to abundant, affordable, and reliable energy for all Americans from all walks of life. We must hold our elected representatives accountable for their actions—not their words—towards this important end.
The AEA is the grassroots affiliate of the Institute for Energy Research (IER), which provides valuable educational information about affordable, reliable energy sources that are free from artificial government mandates or subsidies. American’s economic competitiveness and economic health is dependent on affordable, reliable energy. AEA strives to secure the energy we need to power America through today’s economic challenges and beyond.
